A little bit of history...
Louisa started out in the Bisley Hunt Pony club, where she was part of all the pony club teams. She started on her first pony, Charm, a 13.2hh mare who loved her dressage but didn't really enjoy jumping! Then she moved onto her very special 14.2hh welsh D pony Brenin. He was loved by so many and stayed with Louisa right through to his last day, where old age took over, but he loved his jumping and hunting but found dressage rather boring! Louisa then moved onto her to first 'proper' horse- Welton Athene. Known as Tasha at home, she was a 15.3hh grey mare and she was very marish! But she taught Louisa a lot about dressage and gave her a good understanding for feel and a good seat too! Tasha excelled in the dressage arena but although bought to event, it was dressage that was her thing. Tasha took Louisa up to to medium level dressage and now she lives happily in the field at 21 years old, doing a little bit of light schooling but mainly getting rather fat! During her time riding Tasha Louisa met Geraldine Daws, a dressage rider and trainer based in Chobham, Surrey. She was incredibly lucky to be given the ride on Geraldine's horse Raffaeloe, a 16.2hh German warmblood. This is when Louisa really found her love for dressage, the training, the progressing, the dedication and Geraldine really pushed her riding forwards and so when Louisa moved away she bought her first project horse, Armstrong II a 16.3hh Chestnut Gelderlander. Known as Arnie at home, and is Louisa's current horse, he was bought as a very green, nervous and generally terrified 4yr old. But with a lot of patience, perseverance and hard work she has produced him from prelim to PSG level and he is still progressing. He has now established two time changes, full canter pirouettes and will be aimed at PSG/ Inter 1 in 2016. Louisa still heads back to Surrey to train with Geraldine. However Louisa has also been trained by Hayley Watson-Greaves, Kate Cowell and in the past David Trot and Andrew Gould.
